Bear Squats
This months’ exercise is the Bear Squat, and no, this has nothing to do with the old joke with the bear and the rabbit in the woods
This is an excellent full body workout that also targets the front of your thighs or quadriceps.
1.Start in the kneeling position with your knees about 5 cm off the ground with your legs at 90 degrees.
2.Slowly crouch back onto your calves and hold it there for a second or so, all the time keeping your knees off the ground and your butt level.
3.Slowly return to the start position. That completes one repetition.Simple! Right?
Initially, you’ll think this an easy exercise, but trust me, after a few repetitions, you’ll feel the burn in your thighs.
If your shoulders or wrists are hurting then try doing this exercise on your forearms.
If you find it too easy: from the start position, push yourself forward and do a push up in between each repetition, but that is only if you are a glutton for punishment!
Remember to breathe in when you rock back and breathe out when you move
