Reverse Leg Flutters
While you might love crunches to strengthen your abs, it is also important to strengthen your lower back. This exercise will do just that…
1. Lie on your stomach with your arms by your side and your head as well as your shoulders slightly lifted.
2. Lift your feet and knees off the floor and flutter your legs quickly, almost as if you are swimming!
You should feel this one in your lower back, and maybe even a little in your butt and thighs.
If you have lower back problems this exercise could work for or against you – if you just need to strengthen the muscles in your back then this is a perfect way to do it, however, if your injury is more serious and you feel pain while performing this exercise then this may not be a good exercise for you.
If you are after a more advanced option, put your arms straight out in front of you and still keep your head lifted (do not let your arms or hands touch the ground) while fluttering your legs.
